In 2016 I left my cushy corporate job and life in Australia to move overseas and experience the world with my Italian boyfriend (now husband). I’ve lived in several different countries with the notion that to really understand a place you must experience it as the locals do. These are my journals. BEnny With Love in// italy

In 2011 I wrote in my journal “…to drive leisurely through Italy and learn to speak Italian”. I’d always had a love affair with Italy, but I had never been. A short trip in 2014 had my destiny sealed and I knew Italy would somehow become part of my life…I just didn’t realise it would be in the form of a handsome man from Bari who would whisk me out of my Australian life and plop me into his world of love, philosophy and pasta.

Greece will forever be my first and deepest love. Ask me about Greece and my eyes well-up with happiness. These journals go back pretty far and they are full of hot summer nights on the back of a motorbike, broken love stories and new shiny futures on my island home of Meganisi.
